A Culinary Crafts Welcomes Paralyzed Veterans of America’s National Veterans Wheelchair Games!

Just in time for the July 4th holiday weekend, we have this AWESOME event that we did recently at The Tower at Rice-Eccles Stadium to welcome the sponsors for the 2016 Paralyzed Veterans of America's 36th National Veterans Wheelchair Games!  What an amazing event and we had so much fun kicking off this competition which has been taking place in SLC all week long!  Check it out! CC_ParalyzedVeterans3 CC_ParalyzedVeterans What a turn out!  We loved being able to host for such a great group of people.  Plus, we had so much fun with the sports themed event! CC_ParalyzedVeterans2 Of course, we served stadium favorites like popcorn!  But we put a Culinary Crafts gourmet twist on it.  We served gourmet flavors like White Chocolate Peppermint, Bacon Bourbon, and White Chocolate Blueberry! CC_ParalyzedVeterans4 Aren't the floral centerpieces fun?  Plus, we created some sports favorites at the "Lollipop Station" that were easy to eat on the go so guests could easily mix and mingle through the event.  First up?  These BBQ Wing Bites with Blue Cheese dressing that were delicious! CC_ParalyzedVeterans5 We also served Mini Corndogs with Ketchup and Mustard and Pretzel Bites with Cheese Sauce.  YUM! CC_ParalyzedVeterans6 Of course, we didn't stop there!  We also had Crab Cakes with Creme Fraiche and Utah Beef Chuck Sliders with Beehive Cheddar, Angry Onions, and Fry Sauce.  Seriously, so yummy! CC_ParalyzedVeterans7 And no Culinary Crafts event would be complete without some action stations!  First, the 'Dodger' Dogs Hot Dog Bar! CC_ParalyzedVeterans8 Next, the 'Yankee Stadium' Nacho Bar.  Over the top yummy, I'd say!  Mmm... CC_ParalyzedVeterans9 This is one of our guests's awesome Nacho Bar creations.  We love action stations that let people create their own dream eats with the best quality ingredients! CC_ParalyzedVeterans10 Another fun creation we served were these 'Milwaukee Brewers' Pulled Pork Parfaits - and just like the sign says, parfaits aren't just for breakfast anymore!  These were a crowd favorite, for sure! CC_ParalyzedVeterans11 Our house made gelato was another "fan-favorite"!  Perfect for the warm summer night and a great way to round out this awesome meal!  Mmmm... Culinary Crafts loves being able to give back to our local community as well as national organizations like the Paralyzed Veterans of America who do such great work for the heroes who have given so much to our country!  We hope this inspires you to celebrate the holiday with a spirit of gratitude and honor - as well as enjoying the day with joy and freedom!  Happy 4th, everyone! Mint Infused Lemonade & 3 Events To Attend

If you haven’t indulged your tastebuds in Culinary Crafts' cooking lately, you are in luck! We have 3 delicious public events coming up in June! June 2nd and 3rd - Culinary Crafts will have a booth at the “Tastemakers Event” in Salt Lake City at the Gallivan Center from 5:00 to 10 PM. We’ll be serving some of our authentic Italian zabaglione gelato with orange supremes in a vanilla mint marjoram light treacle.June 4th  -  Our “The Scenic Route” Pop-up Restaurant at Snuck Farms in Pleasant Groves. This promises to be the ultimate epicurean backyard barbecue with the feel of slow and easy scenic drive. The 6-course menu, set by Ryan Crafts, features what we like to call, "The Scenic Route Burger" - a burger that took no shortcuts on its way to your plate. Mint Infused Lemonade
Mint infused Lemonade, is THE perfect thirst quencher to launch summer festivities. Using all fresh ingredients makes all the difference, and yes!, squeezing your own lemons is worth the trouble. To serve, we recommend using ice cubes, rather than crushed ice, as cubes melt slower than crushed ice. Or, you can make ice cubes out of your lemonade, and it’s even better! Have a wonderful kick-off to your summer, and we hope to see you at one of our June events!

Serves 6
Ingredients 5 cups cold water 3 lemons juiced and zested 1 cup granulated sugar 2 cups fresh mint leaves
Muddle mint leaves with lemon juice, zest and sugar in a glass pitcher. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, strain the lemonade to remove the mint. Garnish with fresh mint.

Rocky Mountain Bride Inspiration Shoot

Today, we have an AMAZING inspiration shoot that we did in collaboration with Leslie Dawn Events and Rocky Mountain Bride for RMB's Volume 1 that was released earlier this year!  It was a beautiful, romantic Roaring 20's style shoot - which was perfectly set at the McCune Mansion.  Bursting with beautiful jewel tones, rich gold, decadent food, and moody romance, and J Fairchild Photography captured it all perfectly!  Check it out! RMB_20sInspirationShoot To start, we love this invitation suite from Foil & Ink with gorgeous calligraphy by Karli Noel Calligraphy.  So pretty! RMB_20sInspirationShoot2 Now, on to the main event!  Look at this breathtaking tablescape.  I mean, how beautiful is this?!  We love the design by Leslie Dawn Events and the gorgeous florals from Sax Romney.  A perfect pairing, for sure! RMB_20sInspirationShoot3 The mix n' matched placesettings were such a great way to add another visual element to the table.  And the place card design fit seamlessly as well.  LOVE! RMB_20sInspirationShoot5 We had so much fun with this menu!  For starters, we served a Lamb & Mint Pesto Lollipop and an Artichoke Lollipop.  Yum! RMB_20sInspirationShoot6 Next, we served a cheese and wine pairing featuring a amuse bouche of Bosc Pear, Deer Valley Double Cream Brie, Fresh Thyme, and Fig.  So good!  We also served a Mixed Green Salad with Asian Pears, Candied Walnuts, and Berries in an elegant, vintage-style champagne glass. RMB_20sInspirationShoot8 Last, but not least, we served Chocolate Mousse Cups with Gold Leafing and a pair of Pistachio Macarons.  And this art deco cake from Flour & Flourish was another AMAZING dessert offering! RMB_20sInspirationShoot7 The McCune Mansion is such a beautiful venue and has so many great spaces for photo ops. RMB_20sInspirationShoot9 For a 'late-night' snack we also served Cocktail Shrimp with Gazpacho.  Plus, how pretty is the bar?  Love the draping florals and mirror signage!  So much beauty going on! Culinary Crafts’s Next Pop Up Restaurant is Around the Corner!

PopUp_April22_1 Culinary Crafts is SO EXCITED for our next Pop Up Restaurant!  We are happy to be partnering with Wasatch Community Gardens for a very special “pop-up” restaurant in celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd, 2016.  And, we are hosting it at The Falls Event Center venue in Salt Lake City, which we are thrilled to show off to all of you! PopUp_April22_2 Our 6-course menu has been created especially for this Pop-Up and will feature many locally sourced items, as well as a few surprises! This unique feast will only be offered for one remarkable evening - The restaurant pops up for a night and then disappears, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  (You can get your tickets here.)  Another bonus?  Wasatch Community Gardens will receive a portion of the event proceeds.  We love that their mission is a perfect match for the importance of Earth Day as well as the importance of fresh and delicious food!
