Culinary Crafts’s Holiday Gift!

Hopefully I'm not ruining the surprise for anyone at this point, but I am SO excited to share Culinary Crafts's holiday gift with everyone!  Each year, we choose a gift of appreciation for our ever-so-valued friends and vendor partners.  This year, we did something a little different, but we think it really showed how much we adore you all!  Check it out! CC_Holiday As an extra special touch, we chose to use a local company called PigeonShip to hand deliver these gift boxes to everyone.  This is really such a great way to add a personal touch to your deliveries. CC_Holiday2 Good things come in small packages is certainly true of this gift - Keep reading to see the surprise... CC_Holiday3 And, because we can't go without adding a sweet treat, we made handcrafted Pecan Rolls for every gift box.  Yum! CC_Holiday4 Last, but certainly not least, the big gift in the small package!  Each one of the recipients received a gift certificate for themselves and a guest to attend one of  Culinary Crafts's AMAZING Pop Up Restaurants!  These Pop Up Restaurants are easily one of our favorite new facets of Culinary Crafts and we wanted to share the experience with our friends and vendors!  We are so excited to see all of your wonderful faces at our Pop Ups in the coming year!  Happy holidays, everyone! BROWN BUTTER ACORN SQUASH MOUSSE ON DRIED APPLE AND SAGE CRISP WHAT: This summer we told you about Culinary Crafts newest venture: a series of one-of-a-kind, one-night-only, pop-up restaurants. Following the success of their sold-out August and September pop-ups, founder Mary Crafts-Homer, Chef David James Robinson, and their team of food + drink aficionados are back this month hosting a bountiful 10-course autumn feast. The evening is a date-night must for foodie couples or couples still in search of their wedding caterer (taste it to believe it!). The exclusive dining experience will be held at The Tasting Room, Culinary Crafts loft-like event space featuring exposed brick walls and large glass windows, in downtown Salt Lake City. If you’re looking for an urban wedding venue in the heart of SLC, with top-notch catering facilities to boot, look no further. The October pop-up restaurant is co-hosted by The Green Urban Lunch Box. A portion of all ticket sales will go to support the local nonprofit group’s programs, including urban agriculture and providing hunger relief. Created by Crafts-Homer herself, this month’s menu showcases the best of Utah’s fall harvest and will include fruit and veggies from The Green Urban Lunch Box gardens. Menu highlights include Mesquite-Grilled Rocky Mountain Red Trout with The Green Urban Lunch Box Apple Chutney, Sous Vide Citrus-Marinated Snake River Tenderloin of Beef, Utah Amano Chocolate Espresso Pot de Crème with Utah Pistachio Biscotti,  and so much more. Crafts-Homer will play hostess for the evening, and will guide guests through the culinary, multi-course journey. Chef Robinson will also be present to share his knowledge, as well as Shawn Peterson, executive director for The Green Urban Lunch Box. Eating well and doing good for our community? Now that’s something we can get behind. WHERE: The Tasting Room, 357 West 200 South, Suite 100, Salt Lake City WHEN: Friday, October 23, 7-10 p.m. HOW: Space is limited, and only a few tickets are left! Culinary Crafts’s Pop Up Restaurant: New Dates Announced!

We were SO excited about how the very first Culinary Crafts Pop Up Restaurant turned out!  It was an AMAZING night and we can't wait for the next one.  So, for those who missed our 1st Pop Up Restaurant at Snuck Farm, make sure you get tickets for the next one on September 19th in Pleasant Grove (plus we have another in Salt Lake coming up in October.)   Check out the details below! popupCC_092015 After creating a completely sold-out, wildly successful farm-to-fork themed pop up restaurant in August, Culinary Crafts moves on to a wonderful Chefs’ Dinner at our headquarters in Pleasant Grove for our September pop up. Culinary Crafts has been awarded as Utah’s best caterer for 12 years running, and provides a window and a welcome to its hand-crafted food in a special “pop up” restaurant setting featuring a chefs’ menu highlighting Autumn harvest ingredients. This unique 10-course dinner, inspired by Mary Crafts and the chefs at Culinary Crafts, is cooked right in front of you – all the action and aromas are right there! The restaurant pops up for a night and then disappears, offering you a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. This special evening will be the one and only event ever offered in the sleek, modern loft-like space next to Culinary Crafts’ amazing production kitchens. It is a must for foodies! The evening begins with an aperitif and tasty nibbles in our own chefs’ kitchens – with a tour of our state-of-the-art facilities by partner and food expert, Ryan Crafts – the ultimate Chefs’ Tour and table. Then, seated for dinner, imagine seared tenderloin of elk with a Utah apple, ginger and date chutney and a roasted green onion sauce, gorgeous crab claws in drawn butter, and a sous vide Cornish game hen that melts in your mouth, surrounded by poached grapes. In addition to other courses, the evening concludes with our house-made gelato – a true Italian confection made in the classic Neapolitan style. Less than 20 of these true gelato machines exist in the U.S., and there is one of these miracles right here in Utah to serve you! The chefs will cook, create and finish dishes right in the dining room. Questions are answered, courses are introduced, the living is easy, and the camaraderie of the table is paramount. Ryan Crafts, the knowledgeable and passionate partner of Culinary Crafts, will be on-hand to meet and greet you, as well as new Executive Corporate Chef David James Robinson, who has cooked for Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kennedy’s and Oscar winners. In order to attend this exclusive event, you must purchase your tickets in advance. They are very limited, and only 64 seats are available. Tickets are a special all-inclusive price of $125 for the 10-course feast, and are selling quickly. Don’t delay! Saturday, September 19th 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Culinary Crafts, 573 W.
