Charming, Whimsical Wedding at The Tasting Room

Today, I'm so excited to share this lovely wedding that was held recently at our downtown Salt Lake City venue, The Tasting Room and catered by Culinary Crafts!  Bursting with whimsical details, pretty touches, and fab food,  this wedding was so much fun!  Check it out! TastingRoom We loved that the guests were greeted with the photo guest book table!  Not only a fun way for your guests to drop you a line, but a great way to make sure you get a picture of all of the fabulous friends and family that celebrated the day with you! TastingRoom2 The oversized "LOVE" signage topped of with colorful balloons was another fun touch!  We love the pairing of these details with the neutral burlap linens.  It really adds a sense of balance and warmth to the event. TastingRoom3 The ceremony set up was so pretty with the lovely handmade bunting and those beautiful fruitwood chivari chairs! Another great mix of elements that created a great overall feel. TastingRoom4 Check out these AWESOME cakes!  I love that the wedding cake topper was a zombie-fied version of the bride and groom - And how cool is the vintage VW bug groom's cake?  Such great attention to detail (the license plate says JSTMRD) and those cans are just so cute! TastingRoom5 This wedding was chock full of delicious eats - starting with the appetizers!  The guests were treated to an assortment of Lemon Marinated Tortellini and Sun-dried Tomato Skewers, Bruschetta with Roasted Artichoke and Gorgonzola, and Ahi Tuna Tartare in Won Ton Cone.  YUM! TastingRoom6 So many fun details!  From the cute, pink dachshund escort cards, the tiny Maker's Mark favors, to the shimmery gold table numbers - this wedding had so many things that showed off this couple's personality!  Love it! TastingRoom7 This is one of my favorite Culinary Crafts's summer salads - which you can find a recipe for here.  We plated this beautiful Balsamic Marinated Watermelon Salad with Crushed Pistachios and pre-set it for the guests so when they were invited to sit down for dinner, they were welcomed with this pretty and refreshing salad! TastingRoom8 TastingRoom9 Love this buffet!  It was full of seasonal favorites like Fresh Fruit & Berries, Fresh Green Beans with Lemon and Toasted Almonds, and Pommes Anna! TastingRoom10 They couple also chose to served Grilled Hawaiian Butter Fish with Rhubarb Compote and Balsamic Strawberries, Carved Pepper-Crusted Prime Rib with Cilantro Lime Aioli and Charred Tomato Salsa, Crispy Onion Straws, and Filly Frisee Watercress and Baby Lettuce Salad with Beets, Goat Cheese and Walnuts with Lemon Walnut Vinaigrette.  Seriously, so DELICIOUS! We loved this wedding and loved all of the personal touches that the couple added.  Not to mention, The Tasting Room was the perfect venue!  Thank you so much to Jessica & Solomon for letting us help them with this AMAZING day! DIY Aisle Runners

Hello all!  Today, I have some super fun ideas for personalizing your aisle runners.  Many people over look the aisle as just the place to flank with flowers as you walk toward your new hubby, but recently, I've been seeing really creative and different ideas for utilizing this space to further showcase your style on your day!  Check it out! DIY_aisle DIY_aisle2 This aisle runner is DEFINITELY one of my favorites!  Not only is it one of Culinary Crafts's beautiful bride's DIY projects, but it's whimsical and fun look was a PERFECT detail that showed off this couple's personality.  Also, check out that backdrop wall!  Another FABULOUS DIY project that really transformed our venue, The Tasting Room, to house this truly handmade event! DIY_aisle3 I am a fan of anything using reclaimed wood.  The rustic beauty and various patina is truly a one-of-a-kind look that you can't find anywhere else.  For this, and sheer creativity, I am in love with this reclaimed wood aisle runner.  So beautiful and different! DIY_aisle4 The simple, yet bold, effect of this aisle runner/backdrop is a GORGEOUS and truly custom idea for those poets, romantics, or paper-philes.  I love the idea of writing your vows, a special poem or verse, well wishes from guests, or even the story of the couple on this role of paper - but really, the sky's the limit on this one.  Words, drawings, designs - anything can be a part of this type of DIY project.  So cool! DIY_aisle5 How about creating a FABULOUS design using dyed sawdust?  Yep, that's right!  This awesome, intricate aisle runner is super colorful, modern, and trendy.  Perfect for those stylish and cutting edge brides who want their day to be something totally out of the box. DIY_aisle6 This DIY aisle runner uses wallpaper - yes, wallpaper - to create this dramatic and eye-catching aisle runner.  I love this idea for all of it's possibilities!  Plus, how easy is it to get some awesome wallpaper and roll it out to make such a great detail?  Love! 'DIY_aisle7 This last project is perfect for all of your natural beauty brides!  Just a length of simple burlap with fabulous sewn ruffled edges and a hand painted monogram and you have a beautiful, custom detail that dresses up any ceremony.  How pretty! I hope these ideas inspire you to get creative with every part of your day!  I love DIY projects, especially ones that you can do WAY ahead of time - so aisle runners are perfect!  Remember, our tip is always to finish up any DIY projects at least 1-2 weeks before your big day.  That way, you can relax and focus on celebrating!  Happy planning everyone! We LOVE Colored Glass Accents!

One of my favorite trends that we at Culinary Crafts are seeing this year is the use of colored glass in your place settings and decor!  I love this trend because it further allows for people to totally customize their event and make it truly one of a kind!  Plus, the glasses, plates, chargers, and teacups we are offering now are GORGEOUS!!!!  Take a look! ColoredGlass Glam green picks are perfect for any type of event!  Whether you are hosting a rustic, natural, vintage, or, even, whimsical event - these pieces make a BEAUTIFUL statement! ColoredGlass2 I love the simple beauty of these snow white pieces.  The white wine glass is my favorite and creates a modern feel when coupled with chic linens or a truly romantic feel when paired with jewel tones.  Love! ColoredGlass3 These golden girls are always a favorite - you know how we love gold accents!  All of these pieces are awesome, but the newest addition is fast becoming one of my top favorites - the sculptural beauty of the amber chargers on the left - perfect for a bold gal with style! ColoredGlass4 I love a touch of whimsy or detail in any event and these glasses are PERFECT for that!  The delicate scroll detail is a feminine touch on the teacup with a DEFINITE vintage feel.  And the poppy blue tumbler is a perfect punch to any table!  Don't you just love it with the copper-y sequined linen?  Amazing! These are just a small selection of the options that are out there, but any of these will make a beautiful statement to any event!  Plus, they are just downright fun - and isn't that the whole point of a party?  Stop by our offices at The Tasting Room in downtown Salt Lake City to check out samples of these GORGEOUS pieces!  Happy planning everyone!
