Sometimes we get to cater an event so unique and fun that we have to share it with you! One of those events, a French-themed outdoor summer wedding reception in Draper, Utah, was recently featured in Utah Bride and Groom magazine.

The Food
And speaking of magic, take a look at the dessert table! Nestled between traditional French treats of macarons, pistachio cream puffs, and classic croquembouche, the wedding cake itself was a culinary masterpiece. This two-tiered gateau boasted a top layer of rosemary olive oil cake frosted with lemon curd, fresh raspberry and whipped ricotta buttercream. The base layer was a vanilla bean cake with bourbon syrup, salted caramel and shortbread crumble. Magnifique!

- Caprese: mozzarella, tomato, and fresh basil
- Monte Cristo: ham, Swiss cheese, raspberry compete
- Banana and Nutella
- Lemon curd, powdered sugar, cream
- Flambéed crepes suzette with vanilla whipped cream and fresh berries
A French Gamin
Meanwhile, one enthusiastic partygoer gave us his best impression of a Parisian gamin. Isn’t this exactly how Gavroche would have breakdanced at a wedding? And wouldn’t you expect to see him climbing walls and lampposts to strut his stuff or to snap a sassy salute? Vive la revolution!
